Timing!

A word study of time in the Gospels shows me when the time was fulfilled Jesus was born into poverty and then the hourglass tipped

over again so when Jesus was asked to perform a public water/wine miracle he said My time has not yet come because he knew the hours and the days

so for the sake of loving kindness he made wine secretly the servants and disciples saw but still it wasn’t all that public because his time to shine had not yet come

And whenever people didn’t like the love stories Jesus told they tried to kill him by stoning or hurling him off a cliff but he slipped through the crowds because his time had not yet come

Then when his dear friend Lazarus was sick to death Jesus inexplicably waited too long —timing!

Only when all was lost he came to raise Lazarus because all’s well that ends well after all because the ending is a restart because divine timing seems crazy at the time

And as he knew his time was approaching Jesus set his face toward Jerusalem and told his disciples to find a donkey and to say to its owner a strange thing The Lord says My time has come

And a few days later when the bootsteps came with torches for him Jesus told his disciples Get up my time has come

And so on you can read it all for yourself it’s right there out in the open for you when you have the time to see
