All hallows
Into the great blue heron sailed a fish that had waited all its life to be swallowed wholly beloved into the sky and fly
After this the heron stood alone waiting for the next brief salt and skin meeting
Someone told me that my grandfather came to him in his funeral suit saying thanks for all you’ve done it’s not so hard as it is a patient wait with lots of stops and starts
“In a flash in a trumpet crash” the heron had whistled the fish down the hatch but
Now just now not at the moment
What if the great blue came for you where would you hide what would you do
But the water lines all around the dock where the heron broods shimmer with the quietest all hallows hallooing hallelujahs
